I’ve compiled a list of the most frequent questions that I have received.  It’s normal and encouraged for clients to ask many questions when choosing the right therapist. Here are some answers to the questions I receive the most. If you can’t find what you are looking for, we can discuss these during your consultation.

Do you offer in office sessions?

I am not currently offering in-person sessions at this time.  All sessions are completed via telehealth platforms.

What are your office hours?

Office hours vary at this time.  Please contact me, and we will see if we can find something that works for you.

How long does each therapy session take?

Sessions are typically 45-55 min depending on necessity.

Do you accept insurance?

I am currently contracted with Medicare, UHC/optum, BCBS and Cigna.  I am now certified out of network with Tricare.   This is being updated daily as I am in the credentialing process w/ several others carriers.  I can also offer a superbill for Out of network benefits.

What is your hourly rate?

Intakes and  55 min sessions are $130.  45 min sessions are$115.  If I am not contracted with your insurance, I can provide you with a superbill for your insurance if needed.

How do I pay?

I use Simple Practice for my Electronic Health Record.  You will be asked to sign up through this platform which will allow you to securely have a credit card on file for payments, copays, etc.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

Yes, however 24 hour notice is required for cancellations.  This policy will be included in your intake paperwork.

What is a free consultation?

We will set up a time to discuss your individual needs, to determine if we are a good fit, and discuss terms of therapy.

Who is your perfect client?

I love working with older teens and adults.  Ages 16 +.  I love working with clients that are ready to work.  I enjoy helping clients work through their trauma, navigate the struggles of daily life, and develop new coping skills.

What to expect?

Everyone's length of time in therapy and process is different.  You can expect to have many feelings come up during this  growth process.  You can expect to be treated with dignity, respect and honesty.

What is your educational background?

I have been a social worker for 22 years.  I received my Bachelor of Social Work from Middle Tennessee State University and I received my Master of Social Work from University of Tennessee.   I have worked with all ages from children to seniors.   I have worked in both in-patient and out-patient services.

What do you enjoy about being a therapist?

I enjoy passing on to others what has been given to me.  Through my own journey I have  learned what did and did not work for me.  I enjoy helping others find what works for them and meet their goals by living their best life.

Do you use Electronic Health Records and how do I access your Client portal?

Yes, I use Simple Practice for my EHR. You can set up a free consult or access your portal at:  https://april-hibdon.clientsecure.me
